Contemplated Integration of Infotec in 2009

UK, London, 02 March 2009 - Ricoh Europe PLC today announced a further development to its reorganisation plan, to transform the Ricoh EMEA group from a decentralised business model into a world-class pan-European organisation, with a single management structure and standardised business processes. This is part of Ricoh's business growth strategy and ongoing efforts to further improve operations and exceed client expectations.

The Ricoh Group will begin discussions with the appropriate employee representative bodies about a contemplated integration of Infotec Europe, acquired by Ricoh in 2007. Infotec and Ricoh are a strong and strategic fit and have been working closely together since the acquisition.  The move will also facilitate Ricoh's ongoing commitment to strengthen and accelerate its growth in the production print business, enhance consistency and increase knowledge sharing.

The result of the contemplated Infotec integration will be to merge its operations into Ricoh's existing business, in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium.  In addition Ricoh proposes to set-up specialist business units to form the Ricoh Production Printing Business Group which would combine the skills and knowledge of both Ricoh and Infotec employees and create a stronger and unified approach to market.

Benefits of the contemplated Infotec integration include; a reinforced sales and service network in Europe, a single and consistent communications activity surrounding Ricoh high volume products, strengthened major account sales and enhanced employee knowledge sharing.  As a unified group, Ricoh Europe aims to build stronger relationships with its customers by delivering superior performance and value.

Final decisions of the contemplated integration will be confirmed to employees and key stakeholders following the discussion with the appropriate employee representative bodies.

For customers and employees, it remains business as usual and Ricoh's successful "multi brand, multi channel strategy", will continue to apply. This will allow Ricoh to maximise its market place flexibility, presence and responsiveness.
